(Writing the review for my fiancé): He bought this boot after trying to find a brown boot for work to match his UPS uniform. He ordered his standard size, 7.5 but after trying them on, he originally saw his toe was too close to the front, but thought, maybe it’s because they were new. He walked around the house for a bit, but found that the boots started to “choke” his feet & that the size was a .5 size too small. He also thought that the footbed was narrower. He has to put in plantar fasciitis insoles for work, and it could have been that, but he normally buys Salomon’s and wears them out the box no problem. So we are returning them, but not reordering because he feels even with an 8, his insole might give him an issue. He also would be wearing them all day, 5 days a week and he wanted something more comfortable versus just for a few hours on the trails.

If you’re going to buy these, I’d suggest ordering a .5 size up if you put in your own insole & wear a semi-thick sock!

Other than that they are a good shoe (so he said).
